Dr. Herve Kerivin is an Associate Professor of Mathematical Optimization in Clermont Auvergne Institute of Technology at Clermont Auvergne University, France.  He is also an Adjunct Professor in the School of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences at Clemson University.  His research expertise is in theoretical and computational decision optimization, with an emphasis on combinatorial, robust, and multi-objective optimization and their applications to real-world problems arising in telecommunication, logistic, data science, and machine learning.  He has published 50+ papers in professional journals, holds a patent, and was awarded 10+ research grants.  Additionally, Dr. Kerivin serves as Director of International Relations for the Higher Institute of Computer Modeling and Applications at Clermont Auvergne Institute of Technology. 

Dr. Kerivin earned a master’s degree in Operations Research from Grenoble Alpes University, France, and a Ph.D. degree in Combinatorial Optimization from University Clermont Auvergne.  Prior to his current position, he held research positions at Orange in Paris, France, and at the Institute for Mathematics ans its Applications, University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, as well as faculty positions at University Blaise Pascal in Clermont-Ferrand, France, and at Clemson University.
