Yeseul Jeon
Dr. Yeseul Jeon is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, Charlotte, NC, USA. Prior to this, she was a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Department of Statistics at Texas A&M University, with a joint appointment in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the University of California, San Francisco. She received her Ph.D. degree in Statistics from Yonsei University, Seoul, South Korea, in 2024. Dr. Jeon’s research interests include Bayesian deep learning, spatial and functional data analysis, explainable artificial intelligence, and uncertainty quantification, along with their applications to biomedical imaging and other complex, high-dimensional data. Her research focuses on developing interpretable and trustworthy deep learning models that integrate the principled framework of Bayesian statistics with the representational power of modern machine learning.
